Photo Search Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
The Photo Search functionality allows you to search for products available through the mobile version of the Grainger.com website ("Grainger App") by uploading photo images that you take with your camera or have in your mobile device photo gallery.
Using the Photo Search Functionality
You can upload a photo image of the product you would like to search. In order to use the Photo Search functionality, you will need to enable the Grainger App to access your photos and/or your camera through the settings on your mobile device. You will be prompted to do so when you first use the Photo Search functionality.
What photo images can I upload?
You may upload images of products. You must ensure that all photos and photo images that you upload to Photo Search comply with our Terms of Access.
What will you do with the photos I upload?
We do not claim ownership of any photos you upload to the Grainger App using the photo search functionality, and ownership will remain with you and any third party whose content you include in the photos you provide to us. By uploading photos you allow Grainger to use the photos in order to provide Photo Search to you and to improve the Photo Search functionality to you and other customers.
What happens if I cannot find a product through the Photo Search?
Although we do our best to ensure that the Photo Search functionality is of a reasonably satisfactory standard, we cannot guarantee that the Photo Search functionality will enable you to find the product you are looking for or that the search results will be accurate, will match the type, model or color of the product in the photo image you upload, or that the Photo Search functionality will otherwise meet your expectations.
